“Painting is my passion. I love colours and enjoy exploring the beauty
inherent in everyday life and everyday objects. My style of painting
gravitates towards spontaneous brushwork, but I also like to experiment
with impressionism and realism. I believe that art is beautiful in any form,
and its purpose is to give pleasure to your soul!” - Aparna Patil
Aparna Patil was born in India, and has lived in Singapore for over 13 years.
She is a homemaker, mother to twin daughters, and holder of a Master's Degree in
Biology. Following a long break to meet her family responsibilities, she resumed her painting pursuits four years ago. Aparna Patil has won several awards at School, College and National levels. One of her paintings has been published in the Singapore Maharashtra Mandal’s magazine “Smaranika”. In 2016, she created a banner for display at Chingay Parade, as well as
plank art which is still displayed outside Mountbatten Community Centre.
Aparna Patil works with oil, watercolours and Chinese ink, and has mastered wildlife, pet, figurative and portrait paintings over the years. Artist brings painting to life with her attention to detail, deep understanding of the subject and realistic and impressionist approach. She works on customized commissions as well.
She has exhibited in many art exhibitions and events in Singapore and India. Her
artworks are to be found in private collections in the UK, USA, India and Singapore.
