Regeneration
Photograph on aluminum, 53cm x 71 cm
Limited series of 10
“In Regeneration, I try to explore the interplay of light, movement, and form to convey the transformative cycles of renewal. This photograph represents the energy and vitality that arise when we embrace change and allow growth to unfold. Through my process of abstract light photography, I move with the camera, letting light and colour blur the boundaries between reality and emotion, creating an image that captures the essence of rebirth and healing.
The luminous interplay of vibrant colours and swirling forms mirrors the regenerative power within us—the ability to rebuild, reimagine, and emerge stronger. This work resonates with the theme of the exhibition, "Women – Empowering the World," by honouring the resilience of women who continuously adapt, transform, and lead through challenges.
Through Regeneration, I would like to invite viewers to reflect on their personal journeys of renewal and transformation. It is a celebration of the cycles that shape us, where every ending marks the beginning of something new—a powerful reminder of the potential we all hold to regenerate and thrive.”

BIO
Beatrice Morel
www.instagram.com/beatricemorel Beatrice Morel (b. 1970, France) is a self-taught artist whose creative journey began with oil and acrylic painting. Over the years, she has also explored sculpture, pottery, photography, and the art of Ikebana, graduating from the renowned Sogetsu School of Tokyo in 2011. A lifelong traveler, Beatrice has spent the past 28 years living across France, the USA, India, Belgium, Ireland, Japan, Greece, South Korea, and Singapore. These experiences have profoundly shaped her artistic vision, inspiring her to explore themes of cross-cultural blending and global perspectives, resonating with audiences from diverse backgrounds. Now based in Singapore, Beatrice focuses on photography, which, like her painting, ventures into abstraction. This approach offers her an expansive realm to convey and distill emotions and ideas. Her most recent work employs the camera and the light that flows through it as tools akin to a paintbrush, capturing the immediacy and intensity of raw, unedited emotions. Using techniques such as low ISO settings, slow shutter speeds, and deliberate camera movement, she creates images that blur the boundaries between photography and painting, transforming her vision into a dynamic, emotive art form. |
