“Art calms the mind & soothes the soul. “ As someone always in awe of nature, light, colours and textures, Evangeline unleashes her desire to translate her fascination, to creations on canvas. Small details and the big picture go hand in hand. This is captured in her work as she explores different mediums to create layers and textures frolicking in a sea of colours. Her artworks when viewed from afar, capture the viewer's interest as her subjects are usually bold and vibrant and some are done with an optical illusion. When one looks up close and observes, a different experience emerges as the multitude of different colours hidden amongst the layers of textures bring on a different interest. Her works are usually highly textured and presented using varying techniques. Evangeline has exhibited locally and internationally and was a finalist at the Angelico Art Award 2022 with her submission successfully bidded at the event's online auction. That year, she also exhibited at Art Expo New York, Art Sante Fe, Art Expo Dallas and Red Dot Miami as well as in Turkiye. 2023 kicked off with her work being selected to be exhibited at Art Wynwood presented by Art Miami, with many other exhibitions lined up for the year both locally, in Taiwan and in the USA which includes Sante Fe, Dallas and again in Miami. Another very significant event in 2023 was having her artworks displayed and sold at the iconic luxury store Bergdorf and Goodman on New York City's Fifth Avenue. Elated was how she felt when she was informed that the curatorial committee had selected her works together with several renowned international artists' for the store's fine arts assortments, to be displayed at their newly created gallery on their store's 7th floor. Collectors that acquired Evangeline's pieces found her work intriguing.
