Exploring the theme of "reborn" immediately brings to mind the Christian baptism, where water plays a transformative role in renewing one's identity.
In this piece, water is depicted in shades of blue. The intertwining blue lines above and below symbolize the phases of pre-motherhood and post-birth, with the space between representing the transformative journey mothers undergo. This journey encompasses battles, struggles, tears, but also moments of profound joy and happiness.

These phases collectively form the entirety of a mother's self. Mothers retain their core essence—the fun-loving, carefree spirit of their pre-child life—while also embodying newfound traits: responsibility, maturity, problem-solving skills, deep love, warmth, and attentiveness.

The process of being reborn into a new 'self' encapsulates both the past and present aspects of their identity.
