Teresa Yong
Teresa Yong (Young), a talented artist based in Singapore, discovered her passion for art during her childhood. She was largely self-taught until she embarked on watercolor painting lessons at Tanjong Pagar Community Club in 1999. Her dedication and hard work culminated in an art exhibition in 2002, where she proudly displayed her art piece alongside her teacher, Mr. Seow Cheong Choon, and fellow artists. After a period of artistic hiatus, Teresa reignited her creative journey in 2015 by enrolling in formal training at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). There, she earned a Western Art certification, allowing her to refine her charcoal, watercolor, and oil painting skills. She continued to pursue her art interests on short courses at NAFA in Art Teaching for The Students and Parents. However, her interest always belonged to western art, and she delved deeper into watercolors and oil medium by completing beginner, intermediate, and “two” advanced modules at NAFA. Currently, Teresa is moving forward immersing in her oil painting work with private studio, pushing the boundaries of her artistic expression. Her commitment to perpetual growth and creativity shines through as she continues to explore new horizons in her beloved craft.
