40cm x 50 cm Oil on Canvas, Framed Underwater painting
When I was choosing the next scene, I liked the picturesque coral wall. I started working on the painting. Then a piece of dead coral, from which new living branches have “sprouted”, made me think of the eternal and ephemeral. This association did not let me rest until I decided to change the plot. So, the dead coral kindly agreed to pose for me like a skull. A pirate dagger and coins were plastic props. Thus, this work can be considered as the only staged still life painting in my Egyptian collection.
